Whether you're a foster carer or a child or young person in one of our foster families, the Nexus Fostering team member you'll likely see the most is your dedicated social worker. In fostering, these are known as Supervising Social Workers and sometimes abbreviated to SSW. We spoke to Vanessa, who works in our Cambridgeshire team, to learn more about their role.
Nexus Fostering wanted to give back and support Pyjama Fairies after colleague Vanessa recently had a personal experience with the Charity after her little boy was poorly. After receiving the handmade pyjamas and the joy they brought to her son, we wanted the team to get together and raise some funds as a thank you for their fantastic work.
At Nexus Fostering, we understand how important it is for local communities to come together and support young people in achieving their goals and being able to provide sponsorship for the Swavesey Spartans FC U15 Girls team is something we are passionate about.
